Zhouzhuang in Four Seasons offers visual extravaganza

The large live-action show Zhouzhuang in Four Seasons that has been staged since this April displays the ancient way of life in the water town of Zhouzhuang, East China's Jiangsu province.

Zhou Zhuang, a town with a history of 900 years, still has well-preserved ancient residential houses, elegant watery views and strong local traditions and customs.

The show, which is set amidst a backdrop of small bridges, running rivers and riverside houses, features the romantic love story between Shen Wansan, the first millionaire in Jiangnan, the area south of the Yangtze River during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and his wife Lu Liniang.

It depicts the fascinating charms of Zhouzhuang through the changing seasons, with spring's "Rainy lane", summer's "Picking lotus seeds", autumn's "Harvest", and winter's "Spring Festival".
