Zhouzhuang to welcome snowfall

(chinadaily.com.cn)

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Major Snow (Chinese: 大雪), the 21st solar term of the year, begins this year on Dec 7 and ends on Dec 21. Literally, it means that the weather gets colder, and the possibility of snowfall rises. The precipitation of rain usually reduces after the heavy snow.

Zhouzhuang in East China's Jiangsu province is an ideal place for winter gateway, as visitors might catch sight of magnificent snow views in the water town this week, according to local meteorological bureau.

Here are some undated pictures showing the fantastic snow scenery of Zhouzhuang.
